On July 23, Charles and I will be participating in a virtual 5K to raise money for the CLL Society, which provides excellent education and resources for those -- like me -- who are living with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, or CLL. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 60,000 people will be diagnosed with leukemia in 2022 and, of those, more than 20,000 will be diagnosed with CLL.

CLL is a slow-growing, chronic form of cancer. It is currently not curable, but there are some very good treatments that enable CLL patients to live long, productive lives.

If possible, would you please make a donation so the Society can continue to provide the best care and support for those of us with this illness? As motivation, if I reach my goal of raising $1,000, I will Prancersize part of the 5K and post the video on Facebook and Twitter for all to enjoy. #IYKYK

Celebrating Long Lives is about recognizing, supporting, and raising awareness of patients and caregivers who have had their lives changed by a chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) diagnosis.
