I'll be running a virtual 5K on July 23rd in support of the CLL Society. I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and the CLL Society has been crucial as a source of information and advocacy for me and countless others battling this disease. I receive cutting edge treatment at MD Anderson Cancer center and thanks to the educational resources provided by the CLL society I am able to be an informed participant in my medical care. "Smart Patients get Smart Care" according to the CLL society and they have been remarkable in achieving that for so many of us.
Especially in the context of COVID-19 where those with blood cancers are at high risk, CLL society has provided me with a wealth of information and resources to help keep me safe and healthy.
It's important to me to keep this society going so that we can continue to get and give the support to CLL patients world wide for years to come.
